Queen of Bingo

The story surrounds two sisters – Sis and Babe – who are fierce bingo players. They’re competitive, they dish the dirt, giggle like school girls, and share old memories. They are best friends who have been coming to play bingo together for years because they love it. They compliment each other in ways only sisters can and they drive each other crazy in that same sisterly fashion. On this particular night, Babe and Sis share something new as they each confess a secret and finds a special kind of redemption.
ROLES TO BE CAST:
(NOTE: the sisters could be played by two women or two men…)
FATHER MAC (Small role)
Adult. Irish Priest. St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Battle Creek, Michigan.
SIS
35+ A good loser who just loves to play. Naturally fit and trim. Content in her widowhood.
BABE
35+ A player who has always got to win. Naturally overweight and always fighting the battle of the bulge. Looking for love.
SCHEDULE
Auditions: June 10 and 11
Rehearsals: 6 weeks, 3 evenings per week, flexible, beginning Monday, June 24
Run: Opens Thursday, August 15, runs Thursdays thru Sundays (matinee) for 2 weeks, until August 25.
