It was the vision of Dolores Luckett and Patricia Webb that there be a children’s theater. This children’s theater, and what we offer the community, has come a long way since its beginning in 2002. We had our first meeting in late April 2002 and our first summer camp in July of that year. The children’s theater is named in honor of Ms. Luckett who lost her valiant fight with cancer in July of that year also. Everyone called her Dee and she had such a bright and sunny outlook on life, hence Sunny D.
