Mark your calendar! Auditions will be held on April 28th and 29th at 5:30 PM at the Blue Ridge Community Theater in Blue Ridge, Georgia. We are seeking talented performers of various ages to join this compelling and heartwarming tale.
“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” is a spellbinding story about Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old boy with extraordinary talent in mathematics and a unique way of seeing the world. Christopher sets out to solve the mystery of a neighborhood dog’s death, but along the way, his investigation uncovers deeper truths about his family, his community, and himself. Through gripping storytelling, the play explores themes of family, trust, identity, and resilience.
Adapted by Simon Stephens from Mark Haddon’s award-winning novel, this drama offers actors a chance to dive into rich, emotionally complex roles that resonate with audiences long after the curtain falls.
Here’s a brief overview of the characters and their approximate ages:
- Christopher Boone (Lead Role): A brilliant, quirky 15-year-old boy navigating
challenges that come with his neurodiversity.
- Ed Boone: Christopher’s father, 35–50, a hardworking man grappling with the complexities of parenthood.
- Judy Boone: Christopher’s mother, 35–50, who adds emotional depth with her struggles and tenderness.
- Siobhan: Christopher’s teacher and mentor, 25–40, warm-hearted and
understanding.
- Various ensemble roles: Flexible ages, ranging from teenagers to older adults,
portraying neighbors, classmates, and other members of the community.
