sunny D

children’s theater

Sunny D Children’s Theater, formed in 2002 and named in memory of Delores Luckett, offers dynamic and diversified programs to youth from 5 – 18 years.  The Theater ignites the imagination, giving our youth the skills and creativity needed to navigate our complex world. The process of theater demands personal interaction, the development of empathy, and the ability to work in a team environment. Our Musical Theater productions provide skill-based education in vocal and dance, and they are fun! An appreciation of the performing arts helps our youth to discover a world of creativity that has no limits.

Each year, Sunny D offers Summer Camps for students as well as produces two Productions.

How You Can Help

Sunny D thrives because of the generosity of our families and community. If you would like to support our campers and productions, here are a few meaningful ways to get involved:

Provide a Camp Lunch: Sponsor or donate a lunch for our campers and student staff during a rehearsal day.
Serve as a Lunch Volunteer: Help distribute meals and create a welcoming midday break for our students.

Donate to the Sunny D Operations Fund: Gifts to our Operations Fund directly support sets, costumes, lighting, sound equipment, production materials, and needs-based scholarships. These contributions ensure every child has access to a high-quality, fully staged experience. Donate here: https://www.etix.com/ticket/ds/2212/sunny-d-operating-donation.jsp
