Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing classes and extra-curricular activities. This one-act edition is a 90-minute rendition performed in the black-box theater with a student-led directorial team.

Take a Walk down the Halls of High School
Dust off your letterman jacket and join us for a special Sunny D Children’s Theater benefit production of Disney’s High School Musical On Stage (One-Act Edition) at the Blue Ridge Community Theater.
Based on the Disney Channel smash hit, this high-energy show follows jock Troy Bolton and brainiac Gabriella Montez as they step outside expectations, cross social circles, and encourage their classmates to discover talents they never knew they had. Set in the halls of East High, it’s a story about courage, friendship, and finding the confidence to try something new.
This 90-minute one-act edition will be performed in our black-box theater, creating an up-close experience filled with unforgettable songs and plenty of school pride. Your benefit ticket includes a themed pre-show treat and a few extra touches to make the evening festive and fun.
More than a night of nostalgia, this event supports Sunny D Children’s Theater and helps provide meaningful theatrical experiences for local youth. Just as your high school activities shaped you, Sunny D helps shape the leaders and artists of tomorrow.
