Dare to Dream
Show dates: January 21st – 31st 2027
Disney’s Dare to Dream JR. is a 60-minute musical revue that follows an eager group of trainees on their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio. As the group sets out to help each other discover their dreams, they work together to explore the power of dreams to unite, inspire, and make anything possible. Drawing from a century of beloved Disney films, Dare to Dream JR. features songs appearing for the first time ever in a Disney stage musical, including fan-favorites from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, and Frozen II. This musical revue is a thrilling mix of contemporary songs, timeless classics, and brand-new medleys that are sure to surprise and delight Disney lovers of all ages.Designed specifically for today’s young performers and full of opportunities for ensembles big and small, Dare to Dream JR. turns a century of Disney magic into a theatrical celebration of music, creativity, and the dreams that live inside us all.
Summer Camp 2027: All the World’s a Stage!
We are already gearing up for another fantastic Sunny D Summer Camp experience for students ages 6 - 18! Graduating seniors are welcome to participate in the summer immediately following high school graduation as their final year of camp.
Our 2027 theme, All the World’s a Stage!, celebrates the many places, time periods, cultures, and characters that theater allows us to explore. We have issued our call for class and production proposals and anticipate announcing our 2027 productions, class options, age groups, tuition, and additional registration details in January 2027.

Camp Kick Off: Saturday, June 5, 2027
Summer Camp: Monday, June 7 - Friday, June 18, 2027
Performances: June 17 - 20, 2027 (specific dates and times TBD)
Camp hours are generally 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Summer Camp is a two-week experience culminating in performances, and students should plan to attend the full camp session and all of their scheduled performances.
Registration is anticipated to open March 1, 2027
Tuition ranges from $350 - $450, depending on the class/production selected. All registrations require a $50 nonrefundable deposit.
Summer Camp Scholarships
Sunny D is committed to helping make summer camp accessible to students in our community who are experiencing financial hardship. Scholarship applications will be available on our website and will be accepted January 4 through February 26, 2027. Scholarships will be awarded after the scholarship application window closes, based on application criteria and available scholarship funds.
Families seeking financial assistance should complete the scholarship application during the scholarship application period, prior to summer camp registration. Additional information and the scholarship application will be available here in January 2027.

Sunny D Children’s Theater, formed in 2002 and named in memory of Delores Luckett, offers dynamic and diversified programs to youth from 5 – 18 years. The Theater ignites the imagination, giving our youth the skills and creativity needed to navigate our complex world. The process of theater demands personal interaction, the development of empathy, and the ability to work in a team environment. Our Musical Theater productions provide skill-based education in vocal and dance, and they are fun! An appreciation of the performing arts helps our youth to discover a world of creativity that has no limits.
